Kristos Eastlake AIA Table - Restaurant Promotion

Audience Issues Approach
Client User

1. Navigation should be obvious.

2. Don't have much time or technical savvy to maintain website.

3. Easy to update; more organized.

4. Better visual layout; not have a cheap-looking website; less cluttered.

5. Have the menus listed on the site without having to download a PDF.

6. Photos page not user friendly; cannot view all photos and takes time to load.

7. About Us does not say anything about the restaurant - just football.

1. Code global navigation at the top third of the web pages so it is easy to see. Also use obvious navigation names.

2. Will need to create different style sheets. However, this is a simple website without style sheets so this can be implemented for upgrade later.

3. Calendar events (private parties marked for users); update menus as needed; navigation (see above).

4. Create a background that doesn't interfere with the content on each page; move football schedules to events page and use larger images to actually view the schedule.

5. Menu page with links to specific menu listings with the option to download a PDF.

6. Create a gallery page that doesn't require flash; add professional shots of the restaurant; group photos by categories.

7. Add history and ownership content; owner, staff bios; customer testimonies; why is Kristo's the place to be in Eastlake?

People who live or work reasonably close

1. Make menus easier to view.

2. Make mailing list sign up obvious.

3. Promote discounts.

4. Current site is hard to read.

5. Directions page is not user friendly.

1. Menu page with links to specific menu listings (including price) with the option to download a PDF.

2. Move sign up next to navigation; enlarge; promote it with event notices and discounts on food and drinks.

3. Home page should have happy hours listed prominently with link to happy hour menu; sign up for promotions.

4. Redesign background to not interfere with readability; move football banners to just main page and events page; enlarge text.

5. Directions need to be added to the page without requiring users to go to a Google page; promote walkability and free parking in garage.

20-40 somethings who are looking for a party venue

1. Current site is hard to read.

2. Directions page is not user friendly.

3. The Private Events page is not user-friendly.

4. Photo gallery not user friendly.

1. Redesign background to not interfere with readability; move football banners to just main page and events page; enlarge text.

2. Directions need to be added to the page without requiring users to go to a Google page; promote walkability and free parking in garage.

3. Offer a brief description; links to policies, pricing, menus, group packages, decor options, contact info (PDF link for download for these items as an option, not requirement); add a form to submit request; make calendar available to see available dates and to reserve (click on calendar and form becomes available for submission); testimonials.

4. Add photo gallery link to previous events (make images available for purchase???); create a login to view a specific private party?? (only photos okayed by customer can be posted to public photo gallery).
