About Me

I attended James Madison University from 1998-2002. I earned a bachelor of science in art with a focus in industrial design. Immediately after graduation, I flew out to Seattle to visit my father, who had moved the year before, and I never went back to Virginia. I worked for Philips Sonicare for two years as temp in sales and marketing where I started doing graphic design as their in-house designer. In 2005, I almost joined the USAF but then was offered several jobs at once. I began working for Calypso Medical, a medical device company. At that time, it was a small start-up and their commercial marketing efforts were just ramping up. I initially worked as a marketing coordinator, then as a graphic design specialist. I laid off in August of 2010 and decided to upgrade my skills by going back to school and learning web design. Since my background and passion is for design and all things beautiful, I am looking forward to a new career in web design and development.
