I have been creating art since I was five years old when I won my first contest (Thank you Nestle!). I focused on developing my talent by learning new skills through my school years. Although very successful with my artistic endeavors, I decided to study Geology in college. After two years of geology, I realized that I missed the subjectivity, creativity and free expression of the arts. I switched my major to art. Upon completion of college, I earned a bachelor of science in art with a concentration in industrial design.
After college, I began working as an admin at Philips Oral Healthcare. My talent and passion for graphics was soon realized and I began working on Marketing initiatives: tradeshow displays, packaging, customer signage, and training materials for the sales team. Three years later, I began working at Calypso Medical as a Marketing Coordinator. Within three years, I was their in-house Graphic Designer Specialist.
Five years at Calypso did not spare me from the hard economic times we are facing today. I saw it as opportunity to expand my skill set to include web design and development. I am excited about the possibilities in my future!
