Rob Morris
- Pro:The home page has no images, just colorful text which are links to blog posts or tutorials. These show up below the link area and are anchored using a scrolling function. Every page, including the portfolio pages, work in this way. I like the colorful links and the scrolling function.
- Con:The Work page is really long. When a page is that long, the nice scrolling function becomes annoying.
Kevin Fernandez
- Pro:Very visual but minimalist. I like the large sliding spotlight featuring his work.
- Con:No control over the spotlight even though the suggested link ability exists. The blog exists outside the portfolio site. The About doesn't have any description. This extends to the portfolio image links as well. I'm not sure what is what aor its purpose.
Rob Palmer
- Pro:This site design is so fun! The footer is really creative. I like the hover effect in the main nav, and the spotlight, which you can control! I like how he presents his portfolio pieces: shows the knowledge used to create it and if it's live or not before clicking for details.
- Con:Because it is so "fun", it almost looks child-like. The perception may be that he is not serious and financial business may not employ him to build them a site.
Design Energy
- Pro:It is clean and compact and well organized.
- Con:It is built purely in Flash. Therefore, it only shows up as PDF link on the iPhone. Not very user friendly and really non-existent for Apple users.
TWS
- Pro:Very professional. Under Portfolio, I like the header with a collage of work and general description with a slideshow and description below. No bells and whistles. Straight forward and clean.
- Con:Honestly, I do not have any. Oh! Their logo in the header is not linked to the home page. There's my con.
