Client:  Animal Aid and Rescue Foundation (AARF), formerly Animals First Foundation.

Type: Educational/Training, News/Informational

Goal: Coordination of resources to rescue and help disadvantaged animals including dogs, cats, horses, and non-domesticated animals. REBRAND, REDESIGN.

Pet Owners

Reliable information

Education page, weekly blog postings from experts speaking to care tips and product information. Offer additional resouces from accredited animal groups.

Scenario:

A 32 year old single female, living in a 700sf one bedroom apartment with another cat, just adopted a cat from a shelter and the new cat has not been using the litter box.

Type of animal

Offer information and tips that are specific to cats.

Ask questions

Search function and a contact form that sends a message to info@animalaidandrescuefoundation.com

Families

Fun and interactive

Make the pages interactive with animated icons and cartoonish figures. Example:"Cursor turns into a dog tongue when hovering on a link and a licking sound when the link is clicked; when loading, tail is wagging; with errors, a steaming pile of poop."

Scenario:

A family with two young children are looking to adopt a dog.

View dogs for adoption.

Include a page of available dogs for adoption with photos and description of the type, temperment and history and there could be a featured dog.

Ask questions or want to to request a dog listed for adoption.

Search function to find further information and a contact form that sends a message to info@animalaidandrescuefoundation.com; offer Education page anf FAQs.

Singles

Find animals for fostering

Foster page listings, resources page with affliated groups that AARF are networked with.

Scenario:

A 42 year old female would like to start fostering animals in need. She lives by herself in a small house in surburbia.

Need to know requirements to foster an animal

Education/Foster info page, blog, FAQs

Request to foster

Contact form, foster agreement located on the fostering page for download, maybe make this form available to fill out online as opposed to a PDF.

Volunteers/Donators

Opportunities to volunteer or donate

Events calendar, upcoming events listings on main page, resources page offering links to other animal groups

Scenario:

25 year old male who works at his local vet and is considering doing some volunteer work on the weekends and donating 5% of his monthly pay to an animal group.

Would like to donate (1. time, 2. money) to a specific group or purpose

1. Those who are experts with dogs, cats, small animals/reptiles, wildlife or horses may post regular blogs. 2. Donation page where a tax id or a description of organization or purpose can be added; can be set up for monthly transactions if desired.

Exposure to offer their time/Networking

Voluneerism Page w/a featured volunteer, may advertise their business or self on this page; some of these volunteers may be experts with an animal and regularly post blogs.

Animal Rescue Groups

Networking

Resources page where they can be listed, contact form, volunteerism listings page.

Scenario:

New Orleans animal shelters are overwhelmed with abandoned or lost animals after Hurricane Katrina.

Hands-On Support

Volunteerism page, About page describing what AARF can do to help, contact, resources page where they can find other groups to contact in addition to AARF.

Financial Support

Through the donations made through the AARF website, they can request some of the funds to support their needs. Put out a request thru the AARF website for support.
